The type of wrinkle that we normally think of is classified as a static wrinkle. Dynamic wrinkles are those that are formed from certain facial expressions resulting from the contraction of facial muscles. These types of wrinkles can be effectively treated using a product called BOTOX®.

What is BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is a liquid that we deliver via injection to remove dynamic wrinkles that are often found on the forehead or between the eyebrows. It can also be used to treat the crow’s feet at the sides of the eyes. The product has a proven track record of safety spanning several decades.

How Does BOTOX® Work?

BOTOX® injections work by temporarily relaxing facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet or forehead wrinkles. By preventing nerve transmissions from reaching the affected muscle, the product can prevent the muscle from contracting and forming a dynamic wrinkle at that location.

What Happens at My Treatment?

Your actual BOTOX® appointment should take just minutes. During the session, we inject BOTOX® directly into the muscle in the targeted area.

When Will I Notice Results?

In the days after your BOTOX® injections, you should begin seeing the results of your procedure. The skin in the treatment area should appear more refreshed and smoother. After a few months, you may begin to notice a gradual return of facial muscle movement in the treatment area. At some point, you will need additional injections to maintain your results.
