Dr. Porcia Bradford Love

Dr. Porcia Bradford Love is a Board Certified Dermatologist and the founder of River Region Dermatology and Laser. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

A native of Montgomery, Dr. Love received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and completed her medical degree and Dermatology training at Duke University. She also completed a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health, where her research focused on skin cancer in young women and minority populations.

Dr. Love’s specialty interests include acne, hair loss, cosmetic and laser surgery, and skin of color. Dr. Love is the coeditor of the textbook, Clinical Cases in Skin of Color. She is a frequent contributor in the Montgomery Advertiser, WSFA, and WAKA on various skin topics. She has received numerous honors for her leadership in Dermatology and was recently named a 2018 “Woman Who Shapes the State” by AL.com and the Birmingham Media Group and a 2019 and 2021 “Keeper of The Dream” recipient awarded by Alabama State and Troy Universities.

Dr. Love is the the current President of the Capital City Medical Society. She also serves on the University of Alabama’s Community Affairs Board of Advisors and is a Board Member of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Baptist Health Foundation, and Medical Outreach Ministries. She is a proud member of Jack and Jill of America, The Links, Incorporated, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Dr. Love is married to Montgomery County Probate Judge J C Love, III, and they have 3 young children.
