Facial Rejuvenation

facial rejuvenation

River Region Dermatology and Laser is committed to providing our clients with the most effective skin care techniques available today. We’re proud to offer our patients a choice of excellent facial rejuvenation procedures including chemical peels and micro-needling. Contact us today if you’d like more information about any of these treatments, or if you’re interested in scheduling a consultation appointment.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are an excellent way to rejuvenate and refresh the skin without the need for an extensive or invasive treatment. These treatments can be customized to best address each patient’s unique skin type and aesthetic goals.

A chemical peel can be used to improve the appearance of:

  • Acne
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Uneven texture

The amount of time each chemical peel takes as well as the side effects that accompany it depend on the specific strength of the peel being administered.

Micro-Needling

Also referred to as skin needling and collagen induction therapy, micro-needling is a skin rejuvenation technique that uses tiny needles to create controlled injuries in the skin. These injuries are small enough that there is no scarring, but large enough that they stimulate the body’s natural healing process. This healing process spurs the creation of structural proteins and encourages blood and other healing growth factors to flood the area.

This facial rejuvenation treatment can be used to correct:

  • Photoaging
  • Scarring
  • Skin laxity
  • Stretch marks

Full recovery from a micro-needling procedure takes between 3-4 days. Most patients need to undergo 4-6 treatments to get dramatic changes in the condition of their skin.

If you’re interested in undergoing a facial rejuvenation treatment, don’t hesitate — contact River Region Dermatology and Laser today to schedule a consultation appointment. During this appointment, our board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Porcia Love, will take into account your current state of health and cosmetic goals in order to decide which facial rejuvenation treatments are right for you.
